Not all gods live forever. The Norse gods died; they’ve been dead and gone for centuries, but that doesn’t mean the gods or their myths are forgotten—especially in the small town of Blackwell, South Dakota.
We have a dedicated website for the series where you will find more stuff about Blackwell, South Dakota, Norse monsters, and our characters (Matt, Laurie, & Fen).
This is a series written for our sons (who were both around twelve years old when we wrote it). My son (Dylan) is Scottish/Irish on my side, and he's Norwegian/Russian on his dad's side. Both Dylan and Kelley's sons wanted books with "more fights, less kissing." This trilogy is the result.
Kelley and I each write 50% of the books, but by writing separate characters (she writes Matt; I write Laurie, Fen, and Owen). It's been an absolute joy working with a good friend and writing book for our sons.
FOR THE EDUCATORS (classroom or at home): There is a curriculum guide linked on the menu & the Blackwell website too.
Stay tuned for information on where and when you can meet Matt & Laurie in a video game !!!
